The PSR program is designed to assist families of children in grades 1 through 8 attending public school in their religious education. The curriculum presents the teachings of the Catholic Church in age-appropriate materials. Classes begin late August/beginning September. PSR sessions continue until mid-May. The classes are kept to a maximum of 15 students with a minimum of 8 students per catechist. Registration begins in March. Registrations must be received by August 8 for students to start classes the first night of class. A student needs to successfully complete one grade in order to move to the next one.
Students with special needs requiring educational modifications are welcomed and encouraged to attend PSR class on Monday or Tuesday evening. Our goal is to teach our Catholic faith and touch the hearts of our special needs children.
PSR Class times are:
Monday Early 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm
Monday Late 7:15 pm - 8:30 pm
Tuesday 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm
Parents have the option of enrolling in the PSR Home Schooling program. They teach their child using the same books and materials as other PSR catechists. To apply for this option, circle Home Schooling on the registration form where it requests the session. This option is available for grades 3-6. The Home Schooling program is limited to 20 children.
