2025 Scholarship Opportunities:
The Sacred Heart Athletic Association is excited to announce the opportunity for graduating eighth graders to apply for four monetary scholarships. The scholarships ($1,000 and $500) will be awarded to the top-ranking male and female athletes, and the funds will go towards their first year of tuitionat a Catholic high school.Eligibility:- The athlete must have played on at least one CYC team in both 7th and 8th grades to be considered for the scholarship.
- The athlete must attend a Catholic high school. This year, all interested eighth graders will write an essay and provide coach name(s)
Essays will be composed onsite at Sacred Heart Valley Park in the computer lab on one of the following dates:- Wednesday, March 26th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday, March 29th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
If your student-athlete is interested in applying for the CYC scholarship, please email [email protected] to indicate which time slot they will attend to write their essay.
The scholarship will focus on the CYC principles of faith, sportsmanship, and service. We will send the essay topic and confirm their time slot in a follow-up email.After March 29th, a committee will evaluate the essays and coach assessments. Winners will be announced during the 8th-grade graduation ceremony. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
