Sacrament Preparation for Children

First Reconciliation
Preparation for this sacrament begins in the grade 1 curriculum. Immediate preparation begins in the fall of grade 2. The First Reconciliation celebration is usually celebrated in late Fall.
First Eucharist
Preparation for this sacrament begins in grade 1 and immediate preparation begins in grade 2 in January. The celebration of First Eucharist is celebrated in the Spring of the year on the first Saturday in May.
Confirmation
This sacrament is celebrated with students enrolled in grade 8. Preparation begins in the second semester of grade 7 with a parent/candidate meeting. Students are required to complete 5 service projects. Important dates, forms, and requirements are given in the Confirmation Handbook, which is distributed at the parent/candidate meeting. Confirmation is celebrated during the Easter season.
Children seven years of age or older who have not been baptized or have been baptized in another Christian tradition participate along with their families in the catechumenate. The formation process for children is modeled on the adult process.
